In Mahmee, patients have access to their care records and care team. There are certain items in a patient's medical record that will always be visible to the patient.

Alternatively, certain items in the patient's record can be set to be either visible or hidden, depending on the settings selected by the provider.

What is always visible to the patient?

  • The patients medical record, such as health history, pregnancy history, and infants medical record.

  • Dates and times of scheduled or past appointments, coaching sessions, support groups, and classes. Chief complaint is not visible to the patient. Patients access Visit Summaries in their dashboard.

  • Visit Summaries from past appointments. This is at the end of an appointment (last tab in the appointment chart)

  • Health Monitors - Blood pressure readings, infant weight chart, Fetal kick counts, etc.

  • Care Plan items

What items can be set to be either visible or hidden to the patient or other members of the Care Team?

Interactions can be viewable to the patient and/or other members of the patients Care Team, depending on the settings selected by the provider who created the Interaction.

Documents or files added to a patients medical record. Settings can be marked so that the file can be visible or hidden to the patient and/or members on the patient's Care Team, depending on the settings selected by the provider who uploaded the file.

Forms can be added to a patient's Care Plan and set to either be visible or hidden from the patient. You will find this option in Form Settings when building the form in Form Builder.

What is not visible to the patient?

Care documented in an Appointment Chart. While the information charted in an Appointment (e.g., Chart, Exam) is not visible to your patient. Remember, the last page of every chart, the Visit Summary, is visible to your patient.
