Build, edit, and manage appointment charts.

Appointment Charts

The Appointment Charts page shows a list of your organization's published and drafted Appointment Charts. From this page, you can create, edit, preview, export, and delete Appointment Charts.

To access the Appointment Charts page:

  1. Select your organization's name in the upper right corner.

  2. Select 'Manage Resources' from the dropdown menu.

Note: Some features, including Chart Builder may not be accessible to all members due to the roles and permission settings created by your organization's account admin.


Building appointment charts

  1. From the Appointments Chart Page, select the + Build Chart button in the upper right corner of the screen.

  2. In Chart Settings, enter the Chart Name and Description (optional).

  3. Select Save & Add First Question.

  4. Edit the Chart Settings at any time by selecting the gear icon next to the charts name.

  5. Add the Appointment Chart questions.

  6. For each question, add Question text, Question type, Placeholder text (optional) and use the dropdown menu to select who the question is relevant to (birthing parent and/or baby).

  7. All questions have 'Required' and 'Export data from this question to .csv' enabled by default, and these settings are adjustable for each question.

  8. Select 'Add' next to the 'Question List' to add additional questions to the Appointment Chart.

  9. Click and drag Questions in the Questions List to arrange questions in the proper order.

  10. Select 'Preview' in the upper right corner at any time to preview your Appointment Chart.

  11. Appointments are auto-saved.

  12. Select 'Save as Draft 'to save the Appointment chart as a draft.

  13. Select 'Publish' if you are ready to use the Appointment Chart.


Editing appointment charts

  1. From the Appointments Chart page (see above), select the overflow menu (3 dots) to the right of the Appointment Chart to edit. Select 'Edit.'

2. Edit questions or rearrange questions from the Question List. Follow the same instructions as Creating Appointment Charts.

Note: Appointment Charts cannot be unpublished if they currently are attached to an Appointment Type. Edit the Appointment Type to have a different appointment chart attached before you attempt to unpublish an Appointment Chart.


Deleting appointment charts

  1. From the Appointments Chart page (see above), select the overflow menu (3 dots) to the right of the Appointment Chart to edit.

  2. Select 'Delete.'

  3. Confirm that the appointment chart should be deleted.


Exporting data from appointment charts

Exporting data collected in your organization's Appointment Charts can be useful for many purposes. In order to export data from Appointment Charts, your organization's Membership Plan must include the Data Export Add-on. Information about upgrading your account to include Data Export is available in this article.

When creating an Appointment Chart:

  1. Select the 'Export data from this question to CSV' checkbox for any questions for which you would like to export data.

  2. Enter a column title (optional) to be used in the CSV.

To export data in CSV:

  1. In the Appointments Chart page in 'Manage Resources,' select the overflow menu (3 dots) to the right of the chart you want to export data from.

  2. Select Export CSV.

  3. Confirm that you want to export data from this Appointment Chart.

  4. The CSV file will export to your device.
