Grow your network! Mahmee's referral feature helps maternal and infant health professionals across the country connect with one another in a Professional Network. Patients receive referrals quickly and easily, without having to provide all of their medical information twice (because it's already in Mahmee).

There are two pools that you can draw from to send referrals to patients: Referral Resources and the Professional Network.

Referral Resources are for organizations, hotlines, community services, etc

Mahmee's Professional Network is used for connecting with to individual providers, colleagues, or practices.

Referral Resource list

The Referral Resources list is like your rolodex of referral contacts. Sometimes the referral you want to make is to an organization or a hotline, not an individual provider or practice. Add organizations or hotlines in your referral resources list, and you will be able to send them quickly and easily to patients.

Examples of organizations in your Referral Resources list may include Baby2Baby, Hunger Free America, or any other organization that does not have a Mahmee account.

Not sure where to start? Want help expanding your resources? We've helped you get started by building Mahmee's Global List of recommended referral resources to choose from.

When you refer a Professional Network member to a patient, the patient will be able to accept the referral inside the platform and add the referred provider to their Care Team. Then, you can collaborate and coordinate on care.
